The problem.

I needed to create a client site for my web design final project. The Morning Song worship service needed a online presence. A match made in heaven? I though so.

The solution.

I designed a Web site for the Morning Song worship service as my final project for Creating for the Web class. The site included a photo gallery, a calendar of services and participants, and a contact form.

For the design, I tried to capture the spirit of Morning Song: open, exploratory, reflective. To that end, I created a high key design with plenty of negative space and a limited color palette. I also limited the amount of text on the page and allowed my quirky photo illustrations to do the talking.

Find God in unexpected places. Like a roll of toilet paper.

Unfortunately the site I created was never maintained, and the Morning Song group has since disbanded. Still, designing the site proved a valuable exercise in capturing in visual language the essence of an organization.
